Big Sky roof problems are snow problems
Almost every repair we do up the canyon traces back to snow and ice rather than wind or sun. Snow sits deep and long, melts against a warm roof deck, refreezes at the cold eave, and forces water backwards under the shingles or up a metal seam. By the time you see a stain on a ceiling inside, the water has usually been traveling for weeks.

What we look for at altitude
Ventilation and insulation, first. A Big Sky roof that keeps forming ice dams usually has a warm-deck problem — not enough intake air at the soffit, not enough insulation over the living space, or bath and kitchen fans dumping into the attic. Patching the eave without fixing the heat loss buys you one winter. We'll tell you which one you have.
Emergency and winter response
If a roof is actively leaking or carrying dangerous snow load, call us. We do roof snow and ice dam removal across the canyon and often respond same-day during a heavy cycle. We remove snow without gouging the roof surface — a shovel in the wrong hands does more damage than the storm did.
