Belgrade roofs take more wind than Bozeman roofs
Belgrade sits out in the open on the valley floor. There's very little to break the wind coming across the flats, which is why the single most common repair we do here is re-securing or replacing shingles that lifted along a rake edge or a ridge. Newer subdivisions built fast in the last fifteen years are often on builder-grade shingles with minimum nailing patterns — they're the first to let go in a 60 mph gust.
